About
In 2007, Eric Fottorino , French journalist and writer launched the book Baisers de cinema which in Romanian is translated Sarutari de cinema . The main character is Gilles Hector, the son of a photographer. In the novel, he uses to go into every cinema in Paris to watch old, Nouvel Vague movies, in a cinefilic search of his mother. It’s an audio-visual continuous process of defining and finding his own identity. In one way or another, each and every single one of us is Giless Hector.
The kiss is considered the essence of love, and the cinematic experience is sort of like a kiss: intense, a gateway to a world where all senses are stronger and the heartbeats much faster. Short moments which reverberate in us, creating memories which enrich the experiences.
To me, they are extremely personal. That is the essence of this blog: the interpretation of moments close to my cinematic experience, intensified more or less by the choice of words.
